Aquarium is an iPhone app for keeping a record of aquariums. Using it means accepting what is below. It is short on purpose.
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, and is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These terms sit alongside it. Where the two disagree, Apple's wins.
Aquarium reports what you entered and works out figures from it — free ammonia from your pH and temperature, ranges, trends, and how far apart new water and tank water are. Those calculations follow published chemistry, but they are only ever as good as the readings you type in, and a test kit can be old, misread or simply wrong.
Nothing the app says removes your own judgement about your animals. It is not veterinary advice. If something looks wrong in the tank, trust the tank.
An account is optional and the app is complete without one. Keep your password to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You can delete the account from inside the app, in Settings → Account.
What you log belongs to you. It is not sold, and it is not used to train anything. Export is free, needs no account, and gives you everything, so you are never holding your records here because you cannot get them out.
Do not try to break into other people's accounts, take the service down, or pull it apart to redistribute it. That is the whole list.
The app is provided as it is. It is written carefully and tested, but it is not promised to be uninterrupted or free of faults, and sync depends on services and a network that are not always up. Keep an export if the record matters to you — which is exactly why the export exists.
These terms may change; the date above changes with them, and continuing to use the app is acceptance. You may stop at any time by deleting the app. In the event the service is ever shut down, notice will be given here in time to export.
